Tips for a successful CommuniCity
Open Call application
Below are some useful tips and links to additional information sources to help applicants navigate the CommuniCity application process and increase their chances of being awarded the grant(s).
- Be aware that all the applications must be submitted by the deadline, October 31st 2024 at 17:00 CET. Applications received after the deadline will be automatically rejected.
- Applications must be in English. However, the level of English is not part of the evaluation and therefore you can apply translation tools if needed. Nevertheless, keep in mind that if your application is awarded, all reporting during the piloting phase must be in English and also there is likely to be interviews in English.
- Note that the CommuniCity project is looking for genuinely new technological innovations or solutions that have been applied in different contexts, not fully developed and commercialised solutions.
- To understand the specific requirements and conditions, read carefully the city-specific challenge(s) you plan to submit your application to. Note also, that for some challenges, a Letter of Intent and/or facilitation of on-site co-creation sessions may be required.
- Please review Open Call documents carefully before submitting your application. To be awarded, you must agree to the terms outlined in these documents. No adjustments can be made. Additionally, familiarise yourself with the online Application Form and the types of questions asked.
- For the final round of the CommuniCity Open Calls, there are four sets of Open Call Documents, each dedicated to one of the project partners: OASC, Amsterdam, Helsinki, and Porto. While there are minor variations due to national laws, the open call documents from all awarding entities are very similar.
- Additional information on, for example, the individual challenges, technical requirements, and the application process can be found on the Questions & Answers page. We recommend reviewing this page before applying.
