When developing a tech solution for a challenge of a marginalised group, co-creation is very important. Only the target group itself knows what solution would really benefit them. Without their strong involvement, a solution may be developed that does not meet their needs well enough. This may result in low adoption of the solution. The Design Thinking method is very suitable for developing tech for and with marginalised groups. Design Thinking is a creative, user-centered approach that addresses complex problems through an iterative, non-linear process involving five key stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
